Import ContactsImport a list of contacts from another application as a comma seperated vales (csv) file. Merak mailserver will provide an intermediary step in the input process where you can define the field names and select public or private access to the group.
Once in Address Book select "Import Contacts" (make sure private contacts is empty if you are creating a group out of this particular import of contacts)

Select CSV data sourceClick on "Browse" and select the file on your hard disk that has the comma seperated list of addresses and information you'd like to import. |
Field Name AssignmentSelect the field names that Merak will use for ech column of your data. If you do not select a field name, Merak will ignore that column. (Reverse first and last names if you want your contact list or group to read alphabetically by last name)
Select additional field names, check "ignore first row" if desired then check "public" so that others can view the group. (Do not go into settings at this time)
Click "Save Address Book" |
Import Successful"Import Successful" means Merak mailserver has successfully read in the contacts.
Click "Back to address book" to view your contacts. |
