Outlook SecurityThe problem is Outlook says "we do not relay" or perhaps invokes "Intrusion Prevention" when trying to send a message.
You can login to check mail, to enable sending when security is enabled in Outlook try Tools/Accounts/Mail/Properties/Servers and check "My Server Requires Authentication". This enables SMTP "authentication" for your email account to send mail but uses the same account credentials for checking mail thus no additional entry of passwords is necessary other than checking the box. (in this example it is unchecked)
IMAP supports server created and sustained folders.
POP3 downloads email with attachments but only comes with a single inbox.
POP3 is better when you are more concerned with maintianing email on your workstation computer.
IMAP is useful for multiple workstation access and does not download attachments hence, more useful on the road where Internet connectivity might be dial-up only.
