Mobile Device ConfigurationIPOD IPhone screenshots or IPod Touch
IPAD "We do not relay error while sending".. Here is a sequence of screenshots that help you get into your I-Pad's SMTP server section so you can put in your username and password. http://www.authsmtp.com/apple-ipad/alternate-port.html.
Our servers and SMTP Mailport durable alternate
POP3 Server: mail.litchfieldwebservices.com SMTP Server: mail.litchfieldwebservices.com SMTP Port Number: If you can customize to 366 that would be preferable otherwise the standard port 25 is fine.
If you see or required to put in additional username and password fields for SMTP authentication it is the same userid and password as used for POP3. Most email programs such as Outlook allow the "SMTP Auth" checkbox and assume to use the POP3 identity.
Iphone/Ipod touch:
How can I change the outging mail (SMTP) password?
In the iPhone mail client, there are two locations for passwords. The incoming mail password is on the main configuration screen, but the outgoing mail password may be considered somewhat hidden. Please follow these steps:
1. From the home screen, tap the "Settings" icon 2. Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" 3. Select the account you wish to modify 4. Tap "SMTP" under "Outgoing Mail Server" 5. Tap the primary server 6. Enter your email password in the "Password" field.

Older Versions "Enter the Outgoing server settings: SMTP server (ex: smtp.yourdomain.com), Port, Security type, Require sign-in (check box), Username, and Password, then tap Done, and then Next"
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/motorola-droid-bionic/172795-ako-webmail-setup-droid-bionic.html Outgoing Server--> SMTP server: mail.litchfieldwebservices.com Username: Password: Advanced Settings--> Port: 587 Use secure connection: UN-CHECKED Use secure password (TLS): Auto Authentication: Auto Verify Certificate: CHECKED
INCOMING Server--> POP3 server: mail.litchfieldwebservices.com Username: Password: Advanced Settings--> Port: 110 Use secure connection: UN-CHECKED Use secure password (TLS): Auto Authentication: Auto Verify Certificate: CHECKED
Per Rick M Incoming - Port 110 no secure connection Auto (TLS) check verify certificate.
Outgoing - Port 587 all other settings same as incoming.
LWS MODIFICATIONS Opened port 587 to SMTP protocol (no ssl checked)
TESTING OUTBOUND AND ICEWARP "If you are having problems sending mail from a mail client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, and Thunderbird when attempting at home or the office it is possible your ISP is blocking the outbound SMTP port (25).
We know most ISP's block outbound SMTP port 25, these include Comcast, AT&T, Cox Communications, and many more. Some providers such as Comcast give you the option to use a secondary port to send through them while others do not offer such an option. The secondary port for Comcast is 587, they might change this at some point but as of now they use this.
An easy way to see if this is the problem is to telnet to the hostname on port 25 and see if it responds, to do this simply type the following in a DOS prompt: telnet mail.domain.com 25
If the port is open and mail can be accepted you will normally see:
220 mail.test.com ESMTP IceWarp 8.0.3
The above response is from a Icewarp server but all servers will respond with 220 and then some sort of greeting. These can range from server to server but a 220 will be seen when the port is open.
If the port is not accessible you will see this:
Connecting To mail.test.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 25: Connect failed"
Notes:
[The chief difference in Outlook you can just hit the smtp auth check-box and Outlook uses the user name and password entered for POP3 side, here in an Iphone/Ipad, both Incoming and Outgoing servers have ton have user name and password put in.]
"IMAP uses the port 993 as its default port for a secure connection whilethe port 143 remains the default IMAP port. IMAP Is what webmail programs use instead of POP3 (port 110) that Outlook uses.
465 refers to a secure version of smtp. 587 is another secure smtp version we support (Carriers like Verizon are using this port).
Our mailsever supports IMAP over 143 and 993 as well as SSL based SMTP over port 465. Of course also standard SMTP on 25 and our own durable alternate port number 366."
CLIENT EXAMPLE: She is using POP3. She has SSL turned ON for both Incoming and Outgoing with Password Authentication. She's using Ports: 995, and 25 respectively. With those settings, and my new password-it started working.
