MAC Safari SupportThanks, We called 'Apple Care' and managed to get what turned out to be a relatively 'small problem' fixed. Turns out that there was a corrupt cache in (my) Safari software so I needed to Reset & Re launch Safari. All good now. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your time and effort. Was MOST important to narrow the problem down and recognize that prob was at MY end... THANKS AGAIN! nancy
Safari Blocks certain ports
Here's an article about how Safari itself blocks non-standard ports.

Am not sure if Safari has any way of allowing all ports. Firefox and Chrome should not have this problem.
Firewall blocks ports
This link talks about MAC's firewall which you may want to turn off for a few minutes to see if you can get to the page.
