HTTPS Modehttps mode is the secure version of http mode and is sutable for encrypted pages and credit card transactions.
To enable https in an Invisible Gold site you need an SSL certificate applied and installed on the resident server (A note comes up to this effect - see below) then enable it's use using the IG Wizard (required remote control access) or manually through settings.asp file accessible in FTP mode.
|
Open IG Wizard and select (highlight)a website and click on "Modify Settings". |
Check "Enable https".
If you see the pop up window, contact us about an ssl cert.
Click OK to the pop up window and continue. |
Once you have checked "Enable https", click "Save Changes".
If the SSL part has already been applied that should do it.
Try to bring up https by inserting the "s" into the http URL of one of your website's pages or go to your checkout functionality and put through a test order and see the URL (address) line go into https (locked icon) mode. |
Note: Some older AOL webbrowsers require https mode in order to keep session state. |
