Converting an Existing WebsiteGet the old site's images and upload them to an "imgs" folder under the default framework of your website (FTP is useful here).
Go through the content and replace whatever IMG SRC callout you search for with something that works.
Such as:
http://www.website.com/frameworks/default/imgs/someimage.gif The (dollarsign)FRAMEWORKDIR command appends http://www.website.com/frameworks/default/ in front of the img call out the first time it is saved: ex: (dollarsign)FRAMEWORKDIR/imgs/someimage.gif in the text area becomes http://www.website.com/frameworks/default/imgs/someimage.gif
It is important to remember that "default" refers to the currently used template folder in IG. Check the Advanced tab for your website pages to see what Framework it is using. If it is blank, check the parent page(s) until you find the Framework being used. Most sites will be default, but it is possible that your site may be using something different.
or If you upload a folder of saved images to the root directory (the one alongside data, rameworks and system) then we've observed /imgs/image.gif to work. The benefit of this is a shorter "URL" in your template or text entry field. However it requires FTP to accss the root folder of your website.
Uploading a folder of saved images from your browser's "Save As web page complete" then modifying the saved HTML file itself to change page_name_files/file.gif to /page_name_files/file.gif (use Notepad find and replace function) will give you a converted "finished" static page in IG without having to manually rebuild each page of your client's existing site's finished content inthe edit interface.
If you want to put your image folder under default folder then replace each instance of page_name_files/file.gif to /frameworks/default/page_name_files/file.gif
To recap: A Firefox saved page needs it's images folder uploaded to the correct destination and then the HTML to have a "/" in front of each image call out.
