The DMOZThe Open Directory Project is a web directory of Internet resources. A web directory is something akin to a huge reference library. The directory is hierarchically arranged by subject - from broad to specific. The ODP is maintained by community editors who evaluate sites for inclusion in the directory. They are our experts, and all submissions are subject to editor evaluation.
More at the DMOZ Website
Start by searching DMOZ for your domain name to make sure your site is not already listed. Then select a category that you want to have your site listed in. One tip in finding a category is to search DMOZ for your type of product or service and select from the results a category that best fits your website. While in the desired category click on "Suggest URL".
What comes up is a series of questions and screens to take you through the listing process.
|
Click the "Submit" button on the bottom of the Suggest URL link. If successful, you will receive a confirmation screen. You won't be contacted by DMOZ. Check back at their site from time to time and search to check on the status of your submission.
